More than 170 people in Seminar about Digitization |

After many years without advances, the subject ‘Digitization of Documents’ starts to be in focus of the debate in Brazilian Financial and Political System. An indication that this theme is getting stronger was the enormous number of people that came to Febraban Seminar of Digitization that took place on May 17th. The seminar received more than 170 participants.
After many years of debate, now, the Projeto de Lei (PL - Law Project) Number 146, about this theme, can be finally approved. The project is in the Federal Senate and gives validity to the actual process of digitization of checks.
The superintendent of Special Projects of Febraban, Jorge Higashino said: “Brazil is one the world leaders in banking automation. It has, for example, 27 million of Internet Banking users. Despite this, the law related to the theme was released in the 60’s. And, since then, the technology has evolved rapidly. It’s important that the legislation follows the evolution of technology”. | Road Show Throughout Latin America |
| Ciab’s Organization Comitee is going to promote, one more time, a Road Show throughout Latin America. On April 14th, the group from Febraban will visit Mexico City. |

| __ Pre Events |
To discuss the subjects that will take place in the congress, the staff of Ciab Febraban will promote, one more time, a previous round of pre events, in the first quarter of 2008.
Febraban will promote also its tradicional Road Show in Latin America to present Ciab Febraban to bank and IT executives of the continent. The road show will probably be held in countries like Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico.
Another CIAB´s successfuly initiative, Espaço Inovação (Inovation Area) will take place in 2008 again. Espaço Inovação is an area that was gave by Febraban for free to 24 small companies that have developed projects for banking setor that are in fact innovator.
