The start will occur in March, when Febraban will promote pre-events and a road show all over Latin America.
These pre events, created in 2007, join bank and TI representatives. The goal is produce, through debates, material for the discussion that will take place during the three days of the event.
Ciab Febraban 2007 was preceded by ‘little Ciabs’, that focused on the following subjects: Mobility, Security on Internet, Ways of Payment, Digitalization of Documents, Digital Certification and Innovation. There were 800 people.
For 2008, the chosen subjects for these pre events are:
- Digital CertificationGreen IT
- Security
- Mobility
- Digitalization of Documents
- “Business Continuity”
- Contributing Innovation (Inovação Colaborativa)
The Road Show has as a goal that is present Febraban – and Brazilian financial system – to the bankers association in Latin America. These visits have been realized since 2005. For 2008, the countries that will be visited are: Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Venezuela.
Other initiative that will be repeated is Espaço Inovação (Innovation Area), created to stimulate companies with new technologies. The idea is select 24 small and medium companies that present innovative projects for the financial sector and have the right to show, free of congress taxes, their initiatives at Ciab Febraban. This idea has already helped 60 starting companies and will have its 4th edition.
