Date and place confirmed, 14 sponsors and 68 exhibiters. Ciab Febraban 2008, the biggest event on Information Technology (IT) of Latin America is on air.
The event will take place at Transamérica Expocenter, São Paulo, on june 11-13.
To guarantee that the event will be, one more time, a sucess, Ciab Febraban has already a top team of sponsors, in three categories: Diamond (CPM Braxis, Diebold Procomp, HP, IBM, Itautec, Oi (Telemar) e Perto), Gold ( CA, CSC Brasil, DTS, EMC and Microsoft) and Silver (Master Card, CA). Serasa will be co-sponsor again.
The 18th edition has as main theme Security and Technology. In the recent years, the growth of the number of electronic banking transactions in Brazil (786% in the personal Internet Banking, since 2000, for example) has demanded more and more investments in security systems. The average investment is of R$ 1,2 billion (US$ 600 million) per year.
In 2007, Ciab Febraban had its historical record of audience. The exhibition received 16 thousand people and the congress had 1,5 thousand of participants. The event promoted 27 debates with 27 foreigner keynote speakers and another 55 Brazilian keynote speakers
